Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas is proud to announce the return of our in-person Builders of Justice - Progressive Dinner and Awards Program!Join us Sunday, October 12, 2025, as we kick off the event at Landon Winery in historic downtown McKinney at 3:00 p.m. and celebrate those who are making a difference in our community.As the only provider of free civil legal aid in Collin County, Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas has been helping low-income individuals and families in North Texas for over 70 years. In 2024 alone, more than 2,000 people sought help from our McKinney office for critical legal issues - ranging from wrongful evictions and foreclosures to child custody and domestic violence protection.Help us continue this vital work.Your gift ensures our organization's ability to continue providing free civil legal aid to disadvantaged Collin County residents. By making the legal support they need and deserve accessible.Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, Inc. is funded in part by the Legal Services Corporation (“LSC”). As a condition of the funding it receives from LSC, it is restricted in certain activities in all of its legal work—including work supported by other funding sources. Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas Inc. may not expend any funds for any activity prohibited by the Legal Services Corporation Act, 42 U.S.C. 2996 et seq. or by Public Law 104-134. Public Law 104-234 §504(d) requires that notice of these restrictions be given to all funders and contributors to programs funded by LSC.
